Diversified experience in the renewable energy industry is something unique to Afonso. He has worked at a wind turbine manufacturer company, as a project developer, in consulting, and in the academia. On top of that, he has worked and studied in different countries and continents. Afonso has performed work related to site assessment, layout optimization, grid connection studies, energy market research, database management, regulation analysis, and dashboard development.

Afonso´s first language is Portuguese, and he is fluent in Spanish and English. Now he is trying to learn German.
