Etha participated under the management of Elron as a technical advisor for the buyer, when Finland’s biggest wind farm in Lestijärvi got a new owner. The seller is OX2 and the buyer is a consortium of Finnish energy companies Kymppivoima, Oulun Energia and Kuopion Energia.
The Lestijärvi 455 MW wind park in is expected to be ready in 2024 and will then produce almost two percent of the total electricity consumption in Finland.
“Etha was efficiently supporting us and we especially liked their capability to rapidly give technical comments and support the negotiation of the comments into the contracts”, says Anders Renvall, CEO at Kymppivoima.
“We are very happy to have been trusted in this role in the transaction. This consolidates our position as the biggest Finnish wind power consultant”, says Staffan Asplund, Senior Advisor and Chairman of Board at Etha.
Etha reviewed documentation and the technical parts of the agreements to assure they were of high quality. Etha’s responsibility was also to assure the wind park has been developed in line with laws, regulations, and best practices.
