Finnish Wind farms

In the map below you can see wind and solar farms from permitting to production.

The data is gathered from publicly available databases by Etha.

The map contains currently the following information:

Existing wind turbines from the National Land Survey database (9/2024).
Wind and solar projects in permitting phase gathered from publicly available sources, e.g. municipality websites.
Wind and solar projects under construction from publicly available sources.
Wind and solar projects in production from publicly available sources.
Wind speed estimates at 200 m altitude from Finnish Wind Atlas.

You can view the map with the OpenStreetMap basic map or with the help of aerial images from the National Land Survey.

We are upgrading the map content on a yearly basis!

In Etha project lists for wind and solar you can find more information about the projects shown on the map. The lists also include information about projects in pre-screening which are not included on the publicly available map.

Lists include the following information, if we have been able to specify it.

Project name and municipality
Year of operation (estimate)
Number of turbines (minimum and maximum)
Total height of the planned turbine
Project size in MW (Minimum and maximum)
Project development phase (more information than on the map)
Project developer or owner
More information about selected turbine type (if able to specify)
The location coordinates used on the map for the project

Solar power

Project name and municipality
Year of operation (estimate)
Project estimated size in MW
Project development phase (same info as on the map)

You may purchase annual access to our comprehensive database, which includes both the solar and wind project lists.

Price: EUR 2,300/year + VAT

The lists are updated approximately on a quarterly basis.

Please note that the database is compiled from publicly available sources, and we have mapped the projects to the best of our knowledge. However, project details are subject to change.

Etha Oy is not liable changes in the projects on lists.
