We offer wind resource and energy yield assessments throughout all stages of your project development process. Our evaluations can either be based on collected measurement data or on estimates, if no measurements are available.
At Etha, we take pride in producing stable results according to international best practices. We do not necessarily produce the highest energy yields, but we produce accurate and reliable results. We continuously validate our calculation results and understand the calculation uncertainties in detail.
As our customer, you can receive wind resource and energy yield assessments throughout all stages of your project development process. Our evaluations can either be based on measurement data or modeled data, if no measurements are available. For early phase analysis, we have developed our own method using official production data for Finnish wind farms to make the best possible wind estimates without measurements.

Repowering an existing wind farm is a strategic way to extend the lifetime of a wind farm, increase electricity production, and ensure compliance with regulations. We support wind farm owners and operators throughout the entire repowering journey, from a preliminary feasibility assessment to full permitting, ensuring a smooth and well-managed repowering process.
Feasibility Assessment
A feasibility assessment provides a clear understanding of whether repowering is technically, environmentally, and commercially viable. The phase includes an assessment of site constraints as we evaluate the operational environment and regulatory limitations of the existing wind farm site, market screening of suitable turbine types and discussions with local authorities that help ensure the project aligns with the local planning requirements and that unnecessary delays later in the process are avoided.
Permitting Process
When the feasibility studies indicate that repowering is a viable option, we can manage the full permitting process to enable a timely and compliant repowering project. If new land lease agreement arrangements are required, we can support the process. Depending on the requirements of the project, the permitting package may include, for instance, a dismantling permit inclusive of, for instance, a dismantling and waste management plan, deviation permit, and building permit, as well as efficient stakeholder communication throughout the process.

When decommissioning of a wind farm is the right option, we support owners throughout the end-of-life process, ensuring that dismantling, recycling, site restoration and materials’ value recovery are carried out with full regulatory compliance, transparent cost control, and seamless coordination between all stakeholders. Our role is to act as the client’s Owner’s Engineer, Project Manager and trusted Technical Advisor, leading the work from initial planning to final handover.
Implementation
We begin by preparing comprehensive project and dismantling plans that outline the permitting process as well as land lease, municipal and technical requirements. We manage logistics, scheduling and specific site inspection, taking environmental aspects into account. Based on these plans, we carry out procurement management and manage the tendering process and contractor selection, ensuring a capable partner and clear agreements that protect our clients’ interest. Components are assessed for resale or recycling to maximize customer value.
Throughout the project, we maintain active communication with landowners, authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and smooth cooperation.
