Leading offshore consulting group in co-operation with Etha Wind

Etha Wind has signed a memorandum of understanding on offshore consulting with one of the leading offshore consulting groups, Dutch Pondera. The aim of the co-operation is to join forces in offshore consultation on the emerging Finnish offshore wind market.

Etha wind signed a memorandum of understanding with Pondera at the international Wind Europe exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Tuesday. Dutch Pondera is one of the leading offshore technical consulting groups. Since the start of the company in 2007, Pondera has been involved in the development of more than 10 GW of renewable energy projects. Pondera’s track record in offshore wind started with one of the world’s first offshore wind farms in the Netherlands.

”As offshore wind power is still a new form of energy production in Finland, it is very important we can import experience and expertise. The co-operation between Etha Wind and Pondera means we together can offer considerable competence within offshore wind consulting. The services we can offer together cover the full offshore development lifecycle from idea to ready to operate” says CEO Caroline Kullbäck who signed the memorandum of understanding on behalf of Etha Wind.

“The signing of the MOU is a great start to join forces to support Finland in its offshore wind ambitions. With our expertise and experience in the field of offshore wind, we complement Etha Wind’s services perfectly. In the coming period, we will collaborate with Etha Wind to reach a market position that will be fruitful for the parties regarding the offshore and near shore development in Finland” says Hans Rijntalder, Chairman Pondera.

The memorandum of understanding was signed in the presence of Ms. Rae Lescelius, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Finland in Copenhagen, and Mr. Arne Brandsma, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Netherlands.
